So advent is just around the corner and everything seems to be getting bigger and better this year in everything we do.
It seems even more so around Christmas time. As it’s creeping up ( and by the way everything seems to be so much earlier this year too)!
🎅🏻🎁🎄❤️
My partner pointed out that our 5 year old boy has a ridiculous amount of things to mark the 1st of December this year. He’s the one who is often there to bring me down to earth on my quest to ensure my little soul mate piece of my heart is happy and fulfilled in his little 5 year old life.
Anyway to name a few he has his ‘Elf on the Shelf’ arriving-not just appearing this year…oh no! This year the elf has been encased inside a balloon with a personal message to him, fake snow, chocolate coins, coming from a little mini elf door that we will stick to the wall, on a little mini sleigh. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Not to mention the numerous advent calendars he has, Lego City toy calender, Kinder Surprise, Thorntons chocolate and what do these calendars do? Bring a tiny nano second of joy while my little sugar loving little one devours his little piece of chocolate (or chocolates) or opens his little mini toy.
While my other passion beams from a beacon at the back of my mind!
Let’s make a difference, lets encourage kindness and happiness to others (while not subjecting our teeth to more sugar attacks) we will almost certainly get that anyway over the festive period!
Although my little cherub is number one sugar lover and probably most 5 year olds join him, I can’t help but feel that something more purposeful can come from the tradition of advent.
So here it is!!!
A NONE CHOCOLATE, GIFT OF HAPPINESS HAPPY TEETH ADVENT CALENDAR…….
I had a brainwave to create something that gives and also gives back, is fun and interactive encouraging learning, self love and spreading happiness.
I think this really could be something to bring joy this Christmas. Because when you choose joy, you feel good and when you feel good, you do good, and when you do good it reminds others of what joy feels like and it just might inspire them to do the same.
Maybe you could give it a go! It doesn’t have to be inside a wooden calender, it could be a little envelope the elf brings each morning or a little note just hidden underneath their pillow.
Here are some ideas for each day!!
